Email Marketing for Your Etsy Shop–Everything Etsy Free Guide

Looking to grow your Etsy business? The best thing you can do right now is start focusing on email marketing for your Etsy shop. This one step can do amazing things for your business!  

How do you create raving fans?  Start by sharing with them on a regular basis.  Share what’s new, how you make what you make, where the supplies come from, inform them of sales or send them a discount for being a fan.  Seriously, this list could go on and on.

It’s better than you spending hours on social media…trust me….it’s soooo much better!!!!  And it will leave you more time to be creative and create!!

Do you know that only a small portion of your social media followers see your posts?  It’s always changing and you have no control.

Your email list is yours!  You can reach every single one of them with each email!  You can also see the statistics on what links are clicked on to tell more about your customers for future designs.

1.  Check out one of the services that works great for a small business… MailChimp.

2.  Once you get your account set up it’s time to start building your email list.  This is where it gets fun.

You might try to say you don’t have anyone to add to your list, but you are wrong.  Yep.

Start with your friends and family members.  They want to know what you’re working so hard on.

Then, go through every past customer.  You can contact them and ask them if they would like to get coupons, shop updates and such by email.  If they are no longer interested in your products they can unsubscribe at the bottom of any email.  Easy peasy.  Very, very few will unsubscribe.

3.  Email marketing services assume you’re not a graphic designer and they make things super easy for you.

Set up your first email by choosing your email list {you might have more than one later}, choosing a template and create a subject line for the email.

Then add your product photos in and share, share share.  Keep it short and sweet as you get started.  Try sending them a special or sharing something new just listed in your shop.  Then thank them for being a supporter of your business.  Sign your name and make sure to have a link directly to your shop.

Update the template to have your social media at the bottom and your email address.

4. Send a test email to yourself.  Make sure it looks right.

5.  Hit send!
