This DIY Mint soap is super refreshing and makes a fabulous handmade gift for anytime of the year! You won’t believe how amazing your whole house will smell when you make this!
I got so many compliments on these little leaves, so I really hope you’ll make a batch to share for the holidays, birthdays, teacher gifts and more.
It’s a simple project that has a big impact. Even the kids could make it…just a thought!
Gather up a few supplies…
- 1 1/2 cups clear glycerin soap base
- 2 shades of green soap coloring
- 7-10 drops doTERRA Spearmint essential oil
- 10 leaf soap mold {mine is 10” x 5”}
- Rubbing alcohol in a small spray bottle
- Microwave safe container
- Wooden stir stick or old spoon
I used high quality doTERRA Spearmint essential oil to really kick up the health and aromatherapy benefits. You can click on the links above to see exactly what I used for this project. I ordered it all on Amazon and had it shipped right to my door…love it!
How to make DIY Mint Soap in minutes…
1. Cut the soap base into small cubes and melt it according to the directions. It’s best to check it every 30 seconds and stir.
2. Add the doTERRA Spearmint essential oil and 3-5 drops of the light green soap coloring. Stir well and pour it into a few of the leaves in your mold.
3. Add 3-5 drops of the darker green. Stir well and pour it into a few of the leaves in your mold.
4. Optional – Add a few more drops of the darker green soap coloring. Stir well and pour it into the remaining leaves in your mold.
5. Lightly spray the surface of the soap with the rubbing alcohol to remove bubbles. Let the soap sit until firm and remove from your mold.
Add a few to a gift bag or try this…
Fill a small flower pot with crinkle-cut paper and nestle a few of the soap leaves on top. Finish off the look with matching ribbon and you’ll have an adorable decoration for any bathroom.
