I read a post recently that you may be interested in. It’s all about improving the way your Twitter profile, and your tweets, perform in search engines. It really got me thinking…
The post was full of good ways to improve your Twitter SEO but one idea seemed really well suited to Etsy Sellers. The idea was to syndicate your Twitter feed using Feedburner so your fans can get your tweets in their feed reader (like Google Reader).
Your fans are missing out on so much about you and your Etsy shop by not catching all of your Twitter updates. They want to know when you have a special or a new product is added to your shop. They want to connect with you.
Make it easy for them by giving them the ability to scan your tweets right alongside everything else they want to read in their reader.
We’ll try it out and see what happens. Subscribe to the @EverythingEtsy Twitter Feed here!
What about you? Does Twitter help your Etsy sales? We would love to hear what you do and how you use it! Feel free to link to your Twitter profile in the comments!

I’m still trying to figure out the whole Twitter thing! I’ll have to try this. Thanks!

One thing I have been doing that I think works is the #hashtags. I try to end tweets with #etsy and/or #handmade depending on how much room I have left. I think that helps people find you that are interested in handmade items.

What an interesting idea – I haven’t thought about that. Thanks for sharing. Twitter has definitely helped me with sales. I got a wholesale order and made several custom orders and regular sales through it.

Twitter’s definitely a great way to advertise any etsy site. More views do equal more sales. Lets say you posted a red pair of earrings on etsy on a monday, by friday your listing is burried under hundreds of other listings for red earrings. Unless the buyer looking for red earrings decides to scan a great number of pages, your item might never get seen, because chances are something in the first couple of pages might catch their eye. So twitter one of the best ways to make sure your items get viewed by a larger amount of people on a daily basis. I made a sale to someone in Austria thanks to twitter! http://twitter.com/giabowtique
