Homemade Weed Killer
I live in Florida near a harbor where the ground is perfect for every kind of palm tree and tropical plant you can imagine. But, along with the thriving plants that grow triple the normal size you get the weeds.
The weeds grow awesome, and they have to be kept under control or I think they would take over the yard and everything in it!
So, trust me when I say homemade weed killer is needed!
There are just a few simple ingredients and it does a crazy good job of zapping those weeds.
Gather up…
Vinegar – 2 cups
Salt – 1/4 cup
Dish Soap – 1-2 Tablespoons
Gently blend everything together in a large glass cup measuring cup {or bowl you can pour from} and then pour it into whatever recycled spray bottle you have on hand.
I usually spray this in the morning and let the sun and weed killer do the rest. The weeds are brown and crunchy the next day.
I spray a generous amount, but I’m only using a little spray bottle. If you plan to do your whole yard you will want to mix up a gallon or so.
Spray it before or during a hot sunny day for the quickest results. That’s it!
Let me know how it goes!
