Looking for a fun DIY St. Patrick’s Day idea??
This No-Cook Play Dough Recipe is just what you need!
You read it right…there’s no cooking involved which makes this such a quick & easy craft.
Over time I have tried a few play dough recipes only to be a little unhappy with the results. It turns out it’s actually very easy if you know the right way to do it. Save the trouble and try this homemade play dough first!
Yep…a little sparkle is never a bad thing!
I wish you could smell this! I made it using Spearmint essential oil and it’s perfect!
Here’s what you’ll need…
- 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 cups of boiling water
- 1/2 cup salt
- 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar
- Spearmint Essential Oil
- Food Coloring
- Chunky Glitter
In a large bowl or mixer {I used my pretty red kitchen aid mixer…woot!} combine flour, salt, cream of tartar and the vegetable oil. Mix it together.
Slowly add the boiling water and mix until it’s completely combined.
Add 5-6 drops of Spearmint essential oil and a quite a few drops green food coloring. Mix well.
Remove it once you create the perfect color.
You will not believe how amazing this smells and feels! Using quality essential oils make a world of difference, and you only need a few drops to make it smell amazing.
Flatten it out and sprinkle in a little of your chunky glitter. Pretty!
I used a template of a shamrock and cut it out using a sharp tool.
Just playing around! Play dough is always fun.
