We had so much fun decorating pumpkins with Duck Tape®! This is an awesome project for the whole family, so grab a basket of pumpkins and lots of Duck Tape®. You won’t believe all the cool patterns and colors it comes in…there’s even a candy corn design!
The first pumpkin is decorated with yellow Duck Tape®. My original plan was to use a few colors but once the yellow was finished I liked it just like that…kind of simple and sweet mixed in with other fall decorations.
I’ve been in the mood for a little chevron so I quickly decided that I NEEDED this colorful chevron Duck Tape®!
It’s the easiest pumpkin I’ve ever decorated! It really took 5 minutes! I love its funky style!
I used a paint pen to color the stem and it joined my other pumpkin for a little fashion show of sorts…hey, I’m sure pumpkins like to be dressed up, too!
Before I go on I want to share a little chevron decorating tip with you.
I stuck small pieces of the yellow tape on another roll of tape and cut the edges to keep them the same length without spending a ton of time measuring each piece. Since the Duck Tape® is used to being in a roll there’s no problem peeling it off when you’re ready to use it. It made the project go much faster.
If you want to use a thinner strip of tape just use a knife and cut through the tape before you peel it off. {This was my husband’s idea…he’s pretty smart!}
Next, you’ll see the pumpkin my husband created.
We aren’t sure where to put this one in the house, but he had fun making it.
It has a bit of a UFO look to it…ha!
A little Duck Tape® goes a long way with pumpkins, but you will want to try a few of the fun patterns for sure. Wait until you see the huge selection of designs!
