I just had to share my good new with all of you! 🙂 I hope everyone is ready for wonderful holiday time with your family and friends! I still have a ton to do around here, but it’s all good!
I’d love to know about your favorite holiday traditions! We make a ton of gifts and always open them on Christmas. I know some people celebrate on Christmas Eve. We also have an awesome Lego Advent Calendar that has become a tradition. My son looks forward to it every year. I love making cookies with my boys {and eating them}. I could go on and on…I love this time of year!
So, tell me about your holiday traditions!

Lego advent calendar?? Wouldn’t mind seeing a picture of that. I’ve seen many advent calendars before, but I’m sure never a Lego one.
In terms of traditions, this is our second year doing Elf on a Shelf. I heard about it around this time last year and immediately ordered one (online of course). If you haven’t heard of it, check it out. It really fun and the kids are SO into it.

My friend illustrated Elf on a Shelf. I have a first edition Elf on the Shelf, adult children, and no grandchildren. I suppose I’m just planning ahead.
Our family traditions have changed significantly as our children have grown older. Rather than race to the Christmas tree we now make plans for brunch at our house at 11:00am. When the kids were younger it was a gift opening free for all. A few years ago we started opening one person at a time so that we could all see the enjoyment of each person opening their gifts. Our very favorite tradition is British Christmas Crackers. Our daughters and their sissy mother (me) act like we’re about to be shot when we crack them open. Then we wait to see whether Dad or one daughter will split the tissue paper crown first. They have huge heads! Room for huge brains I suppose.
Whatever your traditions enjoy them and have a wonderful holiday!

Wants to see the lego advent calendar too!
My son is college age now so our traditions pretty much circle around home-cooked food so he can be shored up before going back to campus. We always have a big breakfast after opening presents on Christmas morning. Usually homemade waffles. Happy Holidays!
